An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the National Unscheduled Care Team, part of the Centre for Sustainable Delivery (CfSD) at NHS Golden Jubilee.
The National Unscheduled Care Programme facilitates whole system development and delivery of improvement programmes which reflect best practice and support the delivery of the Right Care in the Right Place. The underpinning objective of the programme is to improve the Unscheduled Care experience for patients and staff alike.
The programme currently consists of 5 portfolios of work:
• Community Urgent Care
• Flow Navigation
• Hospital at Home/Virtual Capacity
• Front Door/Emergency Pathways
• Optimising Patient Flow
To be successful in this role you will be educated to masters degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent experience. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) to secure clinical and operational engagement and be able to manage a range of competing priorities while maintaining high levels of quality. You will be well organised and prepared to work autonomously to deliver the range of projects assigned, escalating any issues that may arise to the appropriate Programme lead.
This role will support the implementation of a range of activities designed to support Boards, identify best practice, deliver redesign and embed sustainable improvements.
The post holder will be comfortable working in close collaboration with a wide range of key partners and stakeholders, in both national and territorial Boards, they will be able to apply strong project management skills and also an ability to communicate a clear vision for change.
They will exhibit a demonstrable in depth understanding of project management and improvement methodologies, with recognised expertise in practical application. The ability to work within a political context, a fast pace environment, managing deadlines and being responsive to changing priorities is essential.

This role will predominantly include home working, however, there will be some in-person meetings therefore a willingness to travel is essential.
