An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the multidisciplinary team within the operating departments in NHS Tayside. The post holder will work as a vital part of our team, participating in the day to day activities of an operating theatre.
The successful applicant will be based at the above mentioned site, but may be required to vary their workplace within the area covered by NHS Tayside, as required.
Applicants must have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a diverse and fast paced team.
Previous experience within a healthcare setting is desirable with experience within surgery being advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
