NHS Grampian and Moray HSCP are seeking to appoint a dynamic, suitably qualified and experienced dentist to the role of Senior Dental Officer and Undergraduate Dental Outreach Supervisor. The successful candidate will have their time split between clinical, leadership and Outreach Supervisor duties. They will provide direct clinical treatment for patients under the care of Moray Public Dental Service with a focus on priority group patients, including vulnerable child and adult patients with complex needs. As an Outreach Supervisor they will provide supervision and assessment of undergraduate dental students, across the full range of diagnostic and treatment domains, within the purpose-built Spynie Dental Outreach Centre.
The role will require a motivated and resilient individual with a comprehensive and experienced dental background. Full GDC registration, a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in NHS dentistry and a relevant post-graduate qualification are essential requirements for this role. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to prioritise their workload effectively. They must feel confident in their ability to support students and colleagues clinically and academically and be able to provide relevant feedback in challenging situations. They will take on a leadership role within Spynie Dental and Outreach Centre and be expected to participate in educational training and development in partnership with NHS Grampian, NHS Education for Scotland and University of Aberdeen.
