Salary: £46,244-£53,789

About us
Our team provides an Occupational Therapy service to Oban, Lorn and neighbouring islands on the north-west coast of Scotland. We are an Integrated Occupational Therapy Team based in the hospital in Oban and work primarily with the adult population in both in-patient and community settings.
We also provide a community visiting service to the inner Hebridean islands including Colonsay, Coll and Tiree and have a small Occupational Therapy team based on the island of Mull.
Peer support is provided by our experienced Occupational Therapy team with a broad range of specialisms and areas of special interest and CPD is fully supported.
About the role
This post offers the opportunity for a highly motivated and confident Band 7 to join our Integrated Occupational Therapy Team in this key leadership role. You will lead and manage a team of Occupational Therapists and Assistant Practitioner OT’s across two sites, with staff working in either Reablement, Community or on the wards.
You will have a broad skill mix as is required in a fully integrated Occupational Therapy setting and will require to carry a caseload of people with highly complex needs in either a community or an in-patient setting. You will be responsible for the supervision and day to day workload management of the OT team -16 staff in total; participate in both OT leadership groups and the AHP Forum; work closely with a range of both statutory and third sector organizations.
About you
Essential – Significant experience at senior level including evidence of leadership, supervisory and/or management experience relevant to the post.
Highly motivated and confident. Conscientious, calm and be able to adapt to change or unpredictable circumstances. Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registered, Full UK driving licence.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
