An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Chaplaincy Team in NHS Grampian. Healthcare Chaplains have a valued presence across all the main hospitals and some community settings in Grampian, providing support to patients, relatives and staff.
You will deliver appropriate spiritual, religious and pastoral care to all patients, visitors, staff and volunteers, regardless of faith or life stance, as well as act as a link to various community faith and belief groups, supporting and facilitating the care of their members while they are in healthcare.
You will be part of the out of hours on-call rota that covers all the main healthcare sites in Grampian.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, e.g. theology, religious studies, spiritual care. In addition, applicants should have, or be willing to work towards, specialist training in healthcare chaplaincy such as a Postgraduate Certificate in Healthcare Chaplaincy. It is also a requirement of this post that you are a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
It is likely that interviews will take place on the 24th - 26th September in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
