Applications are invited for this 6-session Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry post based in Stobhill Hospital’s Intensive Psychiatric Care Unit, Portree Ward. There is a well-developed and innovative multi-disciplinary team, including consultant psychiatrist, nursing, psychology, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. You would be involved in the assessment and management of patients from who need to be managed within an IPCU environment within the multidisciplinary team. The role includes regular mental health and criminal procedures act work as well as court reports.
The post-holder will have, or will achieve, Approved Medical Practitioner status in accordance with the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003. Candidates must have full GMC Registration and a license to practice. You will have a minimum of 4 years full time post graduate training ( or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least one of which will be in a Psychiatry training programme or can evidence equivalent
experience and competencies.
