Clinical Governance Manager

Band 8A: £61,325 - £66,018

37 hours per week – Full time


Argyll & Bute Health & Social Care Partnership is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small, dedicated governance and health & safety team as Clinical Governance Manager.

As Clinical Governance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that safe and appropriate Clinical Governance; Risk Management, Health and Safety; Fire Safety, Moving and Handling and Prevention of Violence and Aggression arrangements; systems, plans and processes are in place within Argyll and Bute HSCP

The post holder will work closely with a range of key stakeholders including , Argyll & Bute HSCP Associate Nurse Director, Depute Medical Director, Chief Social Work Officer; Chief Officer; Heads of Service, and with the NHSH Head of Health and Safety and the Clinical Governance Development Manager in leading clinical safety and quality within the Partnership


Applicants should be educated to Masters degree level in a related field or equivalent management experience relating to clinical governance with a clinical qualification or equivalent professional experience.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
