The Directorate of Public Health is currently recruiting a Project Officer for its Tayside Multi Agency Suicide Review Group (TMASRG) involvement to the end of March 2025.
You will be joining an innovative and highly effective team that provides overall leadership for prevention, treatment and care across a multi-agency network. We are looking for an individual with highly developed interpersonal skills and expertise in the effective and efficient co-ordination and management of programmes and projects who enjoys working collaboratively. You will have a key role in collating data for, and monitoring the collective actions of, the multi-agency Suicide Review Group programme against an agreed action plan.
You will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Consultant in Public Mental Health and Health Intelligence team, for work related to TMASRG across the whole system including gathering of data, initiating appropriate follow up action as required. The post holder will have a key role in ensuring there is an effective approach to data gathering and availability within the TMASRG and that timely information and advice is provided to support decision-making and to ensure the necessary scrutiny and accountability in line with the aims of the Scottish Government and NHS Tayside’s strategic objectives.
Applicants should be educated to diploma level, or equivalent, plus a flair for organisation and/or project management experience, preferably gained in an NHS setting. In addition, we require knowledge of improvement methodology and effective communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Hours of work are: 15.8 per week.
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
Short-listed applicants will be contacted by email. Please check your emails regularly, including your junk/spam folder.
