Clinical Nurse Manager (Mental Health) (Ref: 189492)

Full Time – 37 hours per week
Band 8A - Salary Range £56,992 - £61,522 per annum plus
Distant Island Allowance of £2,256 per annum
A Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available
The Clinical Nurse Manager will report to the Head of Mental Health Services and work in partnership with The Head of Service, Clinical Director and Consultant Clinical Psychologist as part of the Executive Management Team to progress the development of person-centred services to meet the needs of the local population. As a senior nurse you will provide clinical, managerial and professional leadership to all nurses within the community mental health service, ensuring that excellent standards of care are provided in a range of settings including:
• Substance Misuse and Recovery Services (SMRS)
• Adult & Old Age Mental Health Services
• Dementia
The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible for the overall development of the mental health nursing workforce, leading service redesign and development initiatives, and progressing the implementation of the mental health improvement plan whilst also ensuring the engagement of service users, carers and the public in service developments. As the professional lead for mental health nursing, the Clinical Nurse Manager reports to Mental Health Head of Service, professionally to the Chief Nurse (Community & Mental Health) and will be part of the organisation’s senior nursing team, working closely with the other senior nurses and the Executive Nurse Director.
The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that there are systems in place to monitor the quality of pathways for patients accessing mental health and specialist old age psychiatry services and facilities off island.
