The shift pattern is 8-6 x 2 8-17:30 x 2 days Mon-Frid

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board. 

An exciting and challenging post has arisen for a Band 6 Charge Nurse within the Endoscopy Unit at Stobhill ACH.  This is a busy unit providing a wide range of diagnostic, therapeutic and acute upper and lower Endoscopic procedures for out-patients in collaboration with the specialities of Gastroenterology, Colorectal Surgery, Upper GI surgery.  This post will offer the post holder an opportunity to demonstrate and deliver strong clinical leadership and direction for all nursing staff within the department. You will be responsible for deputising for the Senior Charge Nurse and effectively managing financial resources ensuring optimum deployment of your nursing workforce; ensuring high quality patient care is delivered.  The post holder will be responsible for working in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure provision of a high quality cost effective service. They will maintain the high standards of patient care using audit, risk management and evidence based practice.
