Practice Educator (PE)

Do you have experience in an Acute setting and want to support and facilitate education & learning within the service as part of the Practice Education & Development (PE&D) Team?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a part time, permanent PEF (Band 6) within the ISCP Practice Education & Development Team specifically aligned to Acute.

We are seeking a motivated, innovative registered nurse to be part of the ISCP Practice Education & Development Team, led by a Lead Practice Educator. The post-holder will work together with the team to support pre and post registration training, education and development within the Acute setting.

The post-holder should have excellent care values, enthusiasm to work as part of a team and the motivation to learn and develop self and colleagues within an exciting and challenging high pressure environment. We are looking for a nurse who is dynamic and forward thinking in their approach and is focused on providing safe, effective, person-centred practice.

Applicants should be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and,

  • Have extensive experience at Band 5 or above in posts which included supporting supervising and assessing learners.
  • Should be a current Practice Supervisor/Practice Assessor.
  • Have an understanding of Flying Start.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and influence change, using highly developed interpersonal and diplomacy skills.
  • Willingness to undertake training in Clinical Skills.

And desirable would be to have;

  • A postgraduate certificate in teaching or relevant recognised education qualification

The applicant will be required to work closely with, and be supported by, the Senior Practice Education & Development Team.
