Job Advert
Community First Responders (CFRs) are volunteers who have been trained by SAS to attend specific medical emergencies and deliver basic life support, oxygen therapy and defibrillation using an AED. The Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) utilises CFRs to complement our core emergency response.
The role of the Community Resilience Team Leader is to pro-actively lead and co-ordinate the development of volunteer activity in their geographical area of responsibility. Overseeing the delivery of high-quality training and support for SAS Community First Responder (CFR) schemes, the Team Leader will build strong and effective relationships with our volunteers, providing direction, guidance, support, and motivation to CFR volunteers. The Team Leader is integral to the planning and delivery of national Community Resilience initiatives and projects. The role will also provide line management and support to a Community Resilience Facilitator.
This is an exciting time to become a key member of the Community Resilience team, as we work to implement a programme of developments which will contribute to the delivery of improved patient outcomes, and also enhance the SAS volunteering experience.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours Monday to Friday, with weekend and evening working as required. There is a requirement for travel and a flexible approach.
