We are looking for an enthusiastic medical educator to join our team based at the Education Centre, Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. Suitable candidates would be existing trainees looking for out of programme experience or other doctors wishing to develop their educational skills.
This is a 10 session/week post. You will work with a wide range of other educators from primary and secondary care to deliver the innovative programme that is Scottish Graduate Entry Medicine (ScotGEM).
There will be opportunities to deliver clinical teaching and simulation, take part in assessment and to develop your skills in healthcare improvement. You will be encouraged to enrol for the PostGraduate Certificate in Medical Education.
NHS Dumfries and Galloway serves a population of 148,500 in a large, rural area of 2400 square miles. Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, situated in the town of Dumfries, has 344 beds and a fully equipped Education Centre. Opened in 2017, it is a beautiful and friendly place to work.
