Full Time – 37 hours per week
Band 7- Salary Range £48,788 - £56,747 per annum
Distant Island Allowance of £2,380 per annum
Relocation Assistance of up to £8000 available
Based at the Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick, you will work as part of a team providing biomedical equipment management services within the hospital and for Primary Care throughout Shetland.
The department covers a very diverse range of medical equipment, encompassing electronics, pneumatics, gases and mechanical engineering.
You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in electronics and have at least five years experience working within an NHS hospital on a broad range of biomedical equipment including specialisation in anaesthesia/ventilation and high end anaesthesia/cardiac monitoring. A keenness to learn and the ability to organise and prioritise your work are essential. You will be expected to participate in a program of appraisal and continuing professional development.
