As an HR Assistant Advisor, you’ll be the go-to for Attendance Management support. You’ll also have the opportunity to provide advice on other employee relations matters, including Conduct, Grievance, Capability, and Dignity at Work.
What You’ll Do:
Supporting managers and staff with the implementation of a person-centred approach to attendance management.
Provide top-notch advice via HR service portal, telephone and in attendance at meetings
Champion a positive work environment by promoting fair treatment and respect in line with NHS Lanarkshire Values

What we'll need you to bring
- Ideally educated to HNC/HND/Certificate in Personnel Practice or equivalent experience in an HR environment.
- Knowledge of Best HR Practice, Human Resource Policies and Employment Legislation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent numeracy skills.
- Excellent IT, Internet and keyboard skills.
- Knowledge of the full MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of databases and HR information management systems

This role will be based in Kirklands Hospital - NHS Lanarkshire Board HQ. Initially the role will be based at Law House, Law, Carluke moving to Kirklands HQ September/October 2024
The working pattern for this role is Mon-Fri 9am-5pm with Hybrid Working.

From 1 April 2024, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change workers in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37.5 to 37 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
NHS Lanarkshire will implement this change but it may not be possible to fully transition from 1 April and there may therefore be some areas of the organisation where implementation may take longer. If the department is currently unable to safely accommodate the reduced hours from 1st April, you may be required to work 37.5 hours per week until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety - you will, of course, be remunerated accordingly. NHS Lanarkshire is committed to full implementation of the 37 hour working week across all areas as soon as it is safe to do so.
