Senior Clinical Fellow


We are offering a clinical fellowship in Trauma & Orthopaedics based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

Glasgow Royal Infirmary is a trauma unit and also provides significant tertiary orthopaedic trauma and elective services. These post will provide excellent exposure to the whole range of adult orthopaedic practice, with an opportunity for a subspecialised focus on the upper limb and hand services.


Duties of the post

The SCF will work as part of the Orthopaedic Team undertaking inpatient and outpatient duties at a middle grade level. Brief outline of duties involved is shown below:


  • Management of Elective & Trauma patients.
  • Second on-call for Trauma (SpR on-call rota), providing cover for the CT/CDF on-call in the hospital.
  • Elective & Trauma Theatre duties as required.
  • Orthopaedic Clinic & Fracture Clinic duties as required.
  • Daily ward rounds.
  • Participate in the Unit Educational Programme
