Job Advert
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Planning and Health Improvement, you will be responsible for supporting Renfrewshire HSCP’s strategic and operational leaders in the planning, management, and provision of all clinical, non-clinical and community-based services within the Partnership by gathering, analysing, and reporting quantitative and qualitative intelligence and performance information.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Performance and Planning specialist to join our existing team and help drive forward our quality and performance framework across the Partnership as we strive to deliver high quality, efficient and effective health and social care services to the people of Renfrewshire.

The post-holder should be confident and decisive with exceptional organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and demonstrate sound judgement and diplomacy, with evidence of continued professional development in line with the requirements of the role.
The post holder will be able to demonstrate integrity and provide excellent leadership and day to day management support to staff, leading by example and ensuring team priorities are understood and delivered within timescale.
Building and developing strong relationships with services and external stakeholders is key to this role, so assertive, empathetic, and persuasive communication and negotiation skills will be vital, as will your ability to understand complex service issues and challenges.
Knowledge of information governance and legislative requirements with respect to Records Management, Data Protection, and Freedom of Information is also desirable.
