Fantastic Opportunity to Lead an Integrated Midwifery Team in Skye, Kyle of Lochalsh & Wester Ross

The opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead Midwife for a full time (37 hours) fixed term contract of 6 months to lead an integrated midwifery team in a rural and remote setting in the North Highlands. The role will provide an opportunity to work closely with both the local midwifery team and the leadership team for the Woman and Child Directorate in North Highland.

The role will include a clinical element, including an on- call component for local births and triage. If you are an enthusiastic, experienced midwife  with leadership experience at Band 7/ Band 8 and would like to further enhance your skill set by working in a rural and remote setting with a small experienced team and enjoy life in an amazing setting  in the Highlands and all that can offer please apply.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
