An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual with Business Management experience and strong leadership skills to join our Directorate based at Eglinton House in Ailsa Hospital, Ayr
Hours:
37 Hours per Week
Fixed Term / Secondment
Please note this is a fixed term/secondment opportunity for 10 months
What you will do:
As lead for Corporate Governance for the Nurse Directorate, you will ensure robust management of governance arrangements through close and effective working relationships with our Senior Management Team and continued development and improvement of directorate governance systems. The post holder will build and maintain robust systems and processes, and lead on the effective delivery of Nurse Directorate Business functions including meeting structures, strategic planning cycles, performance management, financial planning, administration, Staff Governance, Corporate Records Management and Risk Management.
On behalf of the Nurse Director, you will lead on projects and will have delegated responsibility from the Nurse Director for decision making and undertaking pieces of work that span the breadth of the Directorate, and impact on organisational objectives and delivery of Scottish Government directives.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You should be educated to degree level with significant Business Management experience. You will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of governance principles and the development of systems and frameworks to establish clear accountabilities based on effective performance management protocols.
You will also have line management responsibility for the Directorate Admin team and as such, you should have previous Line Management experience within the NHS.
You must have strong influencing skills and the capacity to provide specialist advice and expertise to the Nurse Director, Senior Team and beyond.
We are looking for you to have strong leadership potential, highly tuned emotional intelligence and a proven track record of implementing effective governance and business management systems.
