Regional Coordinator
1 x Regional Co-ordinator – Scottish Cardiac Audit Programme (SCAP)

1 x Regional Co-ordinator – Fracture Liaison Service (FLS)

About the Organisation:
Public Health Scotland launched 1st April 2020 as a national health board, employing around 1200 people, and with an annual budget of around £101 million. Public Health Scotland wants to see a Scotland where everybody thrives, a Scotland where life expectancy improves and the difference in life expectancy between our poorest and wealthiest areas gets smaller.

The Post:
An exciting opportunity to support the Scottish Cardiac Audit Programme and the newly commissioned Fracture Liaison Service has arisen within Public Health Scotland by contributing to the achievement of its aims and objectives of improving patient care.

The Candidate:
Do you have an interest in improving direct patient care through Clinical Audit?

Are you a qualified nurse who is a self-starter with a flexible, supportive motivational leadership style?

Then we want to hear from you.

The successful candidate will support the National Clinical Coordinator in maintaining a national audit structure across Scotland. They will ensure audit results are disseminated and acted upon at the clinical level by fostering cooperative relationships within multidisciplinary care teams. Additionally, they will assist in developing and implementing clinical education and training programs to ensure local staff have the necessary knowledge to support the improvement initiatives set by the National Clinical Coordinator and National Audit Steering Group.

The successful candidate must exhibit a flexible, supportive, and motivational management style, capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout Scotland. They will work closely with the National Clinical Coordinator in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

It is desirable that applicants are educated to degree level in a life science; hold the appropriate professional registration and have demonstrable experience in clinical audit.

Scottish Cardiac Audit Programme (SCAP)
Contemporary experience and knowledge of cardiac services, along with working with front-line clinicians and understanding service needs, will enable you to contribute effectively to the audit immediately.

Fracture Liaison Service (FLS)
This is a newly commissioned audit, and having experience in Fracture Liaison Services, along with knowledge of orthopedics and fracture care, would be highly advantageous.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who has lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.

Candidates must have current NMC registration at the time of applying.

Location and Working Pattern:

During times of public health emergency, or other urgent business need, you may be required on a temporary basis to work your normal contracted working hours over 7 days including weekends, in order to meet the needs of the service.

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with PHS.
