Applications are invited for a Community Support Worker to join our North Community Mental Health Team based at Blairgowrie Community Hospital or Pitlochry Community Hospital, negotiable.
The North Community Mental Health Team is a multidisciplinary team working with people experiencing enduring and complex mental health problems.
As the successful applicant you will have experience of working with people within a health or social care setting. Experience within a mental health setting is desirable. The post holder will work in partnership with people to provide a range of interventions aimed at maximising mental health and wellbeing and promoting recovery. Applicants must possess good communication skills, be able to work as part of a team and be able to demonstrate the ability to deal with challenging situations.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Hours of work are: 37 hours per week Monday to Friday
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
