NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. There are 5 part time positions available all based at Inverclyde Royal Hospital. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.
Position 1, 14.8 hours, 1700-2000 M-F (3hrs per day)
Position 2, 34.5 hours, 0730-1430 Mon - Fri (7hrs per day).
Position 3, 29.7 hours, 0730-1330 Mon - Fri (6hrs per day)
Position 4, 19.7 hours, 1800-2200 Mon - Fri (4hrs per day)
Position 5, 14.8 hours, 0800-1100 Mon - Fri (3hrs per day)

The aim of this role is to provide a quality domestic service to the hospital or CHP premises, ensuring that a clean and safe environment is maintained for patients, staff and visitors following agreed cleaning work schedules, methods and procedures in accordance with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Specification and Healthcare Acquired Infection (HAI) Task Force Code of Practice. Domestics are required to rotate round all Wards Clinical areas and departments within hospital. Candidate may also be required to provide a food and beverage service for patients in adherence with Food Safety Regulations.
