Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Assistant Dental Service manager to provide comprehensive General Management for the Public Dental Service within Primary Care Dental Services.
Hours:
37 Hours per Week
What you will do:
You will be the Clinical Lead for Dental Nursing within the Public Dental Service and provide robust clinical governance and professional leadership to the Dental Nursing and clinical support teams.
You will be responsible for ensuring effective clinic and staff management, robust governance of the service and staff in line with organisational policies and objectives.
You will also support and work together with the Dental Management Team and Clinical Leads to constantly review service provision to ensure the services provided compliment services provided by Independent Dental Contractors and the services provided in Secondary Care
You will be responsible and accountable for the day to day operational management of Public Dental Service dental clinics in your area both weekday and weekend in conjunction with PDS clinical and administrative leads.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You should be Registered with the General Dental Council and have a dental post qualification certificate, eg Sedation, Radiography, Special Care. You will also hold an SVQ in Oral Health Care Dental Nursing or equivalent
You will need to be able to demonstrate strong leadership and line management of staff, with the ability to work independently, proactively and under pressure.
It is also essential that you have experience of working with Microsoft Office Packages such as Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Outlook.
