To plan, develop, deliver and evaluate the training and education across the nursing workforce within the St Johns Hospital site. Enhance the quality of practical learning experiences and positively contributes to the development of the nursing workforce in line with local and national directives.  The role has a direct clinical component to ensure clinical skills and credibility are maintained.

In support of the development of services within SJH the post holder will be required to liaise with all relevant specialties, identifying learning needs and strategies to achieve best practice, seamless paths of care and ensure a high standard of practice is provided within ward areas.

To work alongside staff, including registered and non-registered staff, to support their learning and the achievement of clinical skills competencies.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
