Materials Management Operative
Location – North of Scotland

AfC band 3 (subject to formal banding review)
Scottish Ambulance Service have three new logistics Hubs to provide a robust materials management and logistics service throughout the Scottish Ambulance Service.
The post is based at:
North LogisticHub, Inverness that covers the North region.
The post is to provide an effective top-up service for Scottish Ambulance Service premises by organising and coordinating all product top-up and location details, goods distribution, receipt and storage, as well as conducting periodic reviews of station stock levels, remove and replace any faulty products following manufacturers recalls and review product expiration dates rotating stocks within the service as required to ensure product utilisation.
Ensure the accurate recording of product demand through the efficient use of the stock management system.
The post holder will work in a defined geographical area for which they will be primarily responsible for servicing alongside other team members. Typically, the post holder will provide a top up service to multiple ambulance stations within a typical working week.
Geographically the service will operate through the regional Hubs across the North of Scotland, with the base location:
North – Invreness: North Logistic Hub, 48 Seafield Road, Inverness, IV1 1SG
Due to the operational requirements of the post and service provided, extensive travel across the region’s is required and a full UK driving Licence will be essential to these roles.
Post is based on a working week of 37 hours and is subject to agenda for change terms and conditions. For full details of the role please see the Job description and/or person specifications.
Operating hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
