Are you interested in a salaried GP position? St Brycedale Surgery is centered at the heart of the community, while located centrally within in the beautiful Kingdom of fife, with easy access to the cities of Edinburgh, Perth and St Andrews. Kirkcaldy is an east coastal town and is known as one of the greenest towns in Scotland. We have an excellent local reputation and our team are well known for their warm welcoming approach and hospitality.

St Brycedale Surgery are a dedicated training practice with two of our partners being approved trainers. The practice team enjoys the variety training can provide and the sense of satisfaction that helping to develop up and coming GPs gives while also helping to keep the practice up to date with clinical developments. Being a training practice can be immensely rewarding and satisfying while helping to grow our primary care workforce.

We are currently a 4 partner practice providing good quality care in a friendly well motivated team with a low staff turnover. We are supported by 1 salaried GP, 2 Advance Nurse Practitioners, 1 Practice Nurse & CTAC Nurse, We also have a Mental Health Nurse, 1 Health Care Assistant and 4 of our receptionists are trained in phlebotomy. Our ANPs are prescribers who see the majority of patients with minor illnesses. They also cover home visits and emergency surgeries where necessary.

Most of our GP appointments are same day and house call requests are discussed by all partners beforehand. A typical day would be approximately

22 routine appointments, including telephone appointments plus a share of either home visits or emergency surgery patients.

• Post would suit for a portfolio GP who may wish to have outside interests

• 4-5 sessions per week (Tuesday and Friday preferred) with the option to alternate weekly between 4 session and 6 sessions

• Aprox.7600 Patients

• Purpose built partnership owned premises

• 22 appointments daily (mixture of F2F and telephone) plus a share of either home visits or emergency surgery patients.

• Pro-rata share of weekly protected admin time

• Registered and established training practice – Post graduate & undergraduate

• Permanent contract • Salary £11,500 per session, with the post covered by the standard BMA contract.

• Health Board Golden Hello if eligible

• Workflow optimisation for data team to reduce volume of GP admin

• Full complement of secretaries who oversee all dictation, insurance reports, solicitor reports etc.

• 1 private care home for which we provide a weekly on-site clinic

• Nurse-led chronic disease clinics • Continued personal development support

• Strong links to our local LMC

• Excellent communication between GPs with team working at the heat of our ethos. We meet informally every day for clinical support and chat

• Care home ANP home visiting service
