Positions:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Chief Executive and Chair’s office for a highly motivated individual to join our team as Head of Office. You will be based in Eglinton House, Ailsa Hospital. 

Hours:

37 Hours per Week 

Fixed Term/Secondment:

Please note this job is a fixed term for 10 Months


What you will do:

You will have day to day operational management responsibility for the provision of administrative services to the Chief Executive, Chair, and Employee Director. 

You will also directly assist and support the Chief Executive and Chair in the fulfillment of their roles by providing high level business and administrative support as well as office management support, progressing actions on their behalf, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will work in a dynamic and highly professional environment, within a supportive and welcoming team.  You will work closely with the Chief Executive, Chair and other members of the Executive Team, as well as senior staff across the organisation, and will have strong links with a range of stakeholders, including Scottish Government colleagues.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

You will be able to deal effectively with a number of simultaneous tasks, often dealing with highly complex and at times contentious matters, and making informed judgements.  You will have the ability, commitment and judgment to ensure that deadlines and actions are delivered whilst being frequently interrupted. 

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages is essential, as is experience of complex diary management and attending meetings for the purpose of minute taking.

You must have project management skills and experience of preparing corporate briefings for the Chief Executive and Chair as required.
