The shift pattern is Mon – Thurs 8.30 – 4.30 Fri – 8.30 – 4
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. Would you like to be at the forefront of developing mental health clinical pharmacy? Would you like to work within a dynamic Mental health service? An opportunity has arisen for a pharmacist with a strong commitment to patient care to work within Mental Health services in West Glasgow. The successful candidate will provide care to people within acute adult in-patient wards and services in Riverside resource centre. As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will offer pharmaceutical advice for patients with complex mental health needs, utilising prescribing skills within a shared vision for patient-centred care.
Within the outpatient setting, you will manage a cohort of patients with ADHD, running clinics under clinical supervision by a medical supervisor. You will also be responsible for the direct supervision of junior pharmacists, clinical technicians and trainees within the team. You will ideally have at least two years clinical experience, preferably in hospital practice and mental health pharmacy. However, candidates with a keen interest in mental health and relevant pharmacy experience are also encouraged to apply. You will be registered with the GPhC and be working towards or completed Post-registration Foundation training. You will either be working towards or have attained Independent Prescriber status.
