We are looking for a dynamic Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join our Learning Disabilities (LD) Service. The Learning Disability Service provides input to 3 Community Learning Disability Teams across Forth Valley as well as input into the inpatient unit at Lochview in Larbert.   The post is ideal for those looking to develop their skills and experience and will be based alongside senior Occupational Therapy staff who will provide supervision and support.

The LD Occupational Therapists work alongside health and social care colleagues to improve health outcomes and address inequalities for people with a learning disability living within Forth Valley.  

The LD Occupational Therapists work with people with a learning disability in order to enable them to participate in daily life which can improve their health, independence and well being.

LD Occupational therapists provide evidence based clinical assessment, intervention and advice to develop an individual’s skills in everyday activities (occupations) within their home, work, and community environments.

The LD service in Forth Valley is innovative therefore there will be opportunities to work collaboratively to improve service delivery and to be involved in quality improvement projects.
A BSc in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registration and ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
