Would you like to work with a small dedicated team focused on making a difference across NHS Grampian?

Want to input into board prescribing guidance, but have this balanced with patient/clinical input?


We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacist to work within the Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate to support the Directorate’s functions in relation to medicines management action plans and priorities.

The post holder will work on all aspects of medicines management to ensure safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicine in line with local and national guidelines.

The post holder will promote and undertake cost-effective prescribing initiatives.  This will include carrying out, and supporting, patient level cost-efficiency activities and medication switches, which will be actioned remotely to practices across Grampian.

The post holder will be involved in the scoping, development and implementation of medicine related clinical guidance and cost efficiency activities. They will provide advice, education and training to the primary care multidisciplinary team on medicine related issues.


For this interesting and varied post you will require a range of essential skills including communication, negotiation, analysis and project management skills.
