Want to input into board prescribing guidance, but have this balanced with patient/clinical input?

We are looking for enthusiastic pharmacy technician(s) to work within the Pharmacy and Medicines Directorate to support the Directorate’s functions in relation to medicines management action plans and priorities.

A key focus of the role will be promoting cost-effective prescribing across NHS Grampian.  The post holder(s) will be actively involved in carrying out patient level cost-efficiency activities and medication switches, which will be actioned remotely to practices across Grampian.

The post holder(s) will also be involved in the reviewing of prescribing data, performing audits and recommending changes in prescribing practices.  They will provide advice, education and training regarding changes to prescribing to GP practice staff/hospital teams and others across NHS Grampian as necessary.

You will work with a small team including pharmacists, data analysts, specialist nurse and administrative staff but linking with multidisciplinary colleagues across the organisation.

For this interesting and varied post, excellent communication, IT, time management and organisational skills are essential.
