Pharmacy Procurement Technician
Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council is mandatory
An opportunity has arisen for a well-organised and registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team, as a Pharmacy Procurement Technician.
Your role in the Pharmacy team will be to provide a cost effective, efficient, medicines and pharmaceutical products procurement service to NHS Grampian. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all purchasing is the most economical for the organisation by utilising National Services Scotland contracts. Other duties include investigating and sourcing alternative products as a result of manufacturing difficulties or other supply problems, and processing pharmacy invoices for payment.
The successful candidate will need to have a good understanding of Pharmacy purchasing and stock control, be a registered Technician, ideally with a procurement qualification, or be willing to undertake this. Experience of working in an NHS environment including NHS purchasing procedures and policies is desirable.
