Healthcare Support Worker - Maternity Services
Exciting opportunities are available to join the Birth Centre within the Royal Infirmary Hospital Edinburgh. We have 2x Band 3 positions available for Heathcare Support Workers and we are looking for passionate, caring, motivated people to join our highly skilled midwifery teams.
2x vacancies in the Birth Centre - hours to be discussed
Birth Centre
Role includes:
Support families at this special time- support when trained for breastfeeding
Clinical assistance to Maternity care Assistants, registered midwives /medical staff
Observations under the supervision of a registered Midwife
Scribing and helping at deliveries
Rotation to other maternity areas if need arises
Escorts
Helping with designated roles at emergencies
Documentation
Hydration and dietary requirements
Audits and infection control
