The Radiography department provides a 7 day service and the successful candidates would work in different modalities within the Radiology department including Ultrasound, CT, Breast service and the General department.

You will be providing clinical support for Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers and Mammographers ensuring the comfort and safety of the patient undergoing various Radiology procedures.

You must be a team player who is enthusiastic and can work flexible hours to include extended days and weekends when required. Previous cannulation and vital signs skills are an essential part of the role.

You should be able to travel and work efficiently and effectively in various work locations within NHS Fife, to meet the requirements of the service.

A commitment to Public Holiday rotas and extended working days/weekends to meet the needs of the service is essential.

For informal enquiries, please contact Lesley Henderson – Clinical Lead Radiographer, QMH, 01383 623623 Extension 23303.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board.
