Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Instructor based at Ayrshire Central Hospital


What you will do:

The Intermediate Care Team (ICT) is a multi-agency team, working together with patients and carers to provide rapid assessment of service users needs. ICT offer an alternative to hospital admission by maintaining people in their homes and to facilitate the smoothest and earliest possible discharge from hospital.  The multi-disciplinary team provides assessment, short term intensive rehabilitation and support.  We have opportunities for highly motivated individuals to join our busy, enthusiastic team, committed to delivering quality services working closely with colleagues across professions and agencies.

This Technical Instructor post is vital to support the multidisciplinary teams in localities across North Ayrshire and it is generic in order to be as flexible as possible. This post is supported by a robust AHP and Nursing competency framework and training supervision pack.

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Individual to join our dynamic team.  You will provide a service to patients in their own homes.

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

Good organisational and time management skills and an ability to be flexible in day-to-day working to ensure prompt and satisfactory outcomes.  You should also have the ability to work unsupervised and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.

You will required to evidence relevant and proven experience in directly working with clients/patients in a healthcare or homely setting.

You should have an HNC in Health or Social Care or equivalent experience

Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and knowledge of the health and social care services is advantageous.

Hours: 37 hours per week

The service is provided 7 days a week so weekend work essential but on a Rota basis


UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership:

Car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
