An exciting opportunity has arisen within the North ACC (Ambulance Control Centre) for a permanent Duty Supervisor position.  This will be a full time post, including shift work and relief leading a team of dispatchers & call handlers within the North ACC in dealing with the public 999 emergency system, partner emergency services and heath care professionals.

The Person

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of ACC systems and SAS policies & procedures. Ideally you will have completed all statutory and mandatory online training through TURAS, as you will be dealing with sensitive information therefore show an understanding of data protection and GDPR compliance.

Staff wellbeing and patient safety is paramount and you must depict values that encompass SAS values and drive positivity with enthusiasm. 

NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Hiring Manager.
