CLINICAL LABORATORY SERVICES
Associate Practitioner - Point of Care Testing
Band 4 £27,598 – £30,019 per annum
Plus £1,279 Distant Island Allowance per annum
37 Hours per Week

An opportunity has arisen for an Associate Practitioner in Point of Care Testing to join the team that provide the diagnostic laboratory service for the NHS Western Isles.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to carry out duties of a technical and administrative nature under the supervision of qualified staff. Previous experience in medical laboratory work would be an advantage.
Duties will include oversight of the laboratories point of care network, troubleshooting equipment failures, monitoring internal quality assessment and external quality assurance returns and training on the use of point of care equipment. The role is based in the Western Isles Hospital but may require travel to Uist and Barra Hospital, St Brendan’s Hospital and community sites.
