Domestic Services Department are recruiting for Domestic Supervisors to undertake supervisory responsibilities across Dundee locality in order to deliver the service to the highest standard of cleanliness within the healthcare setting.
You must have the ability to:
- Work as part of a team or on your own initiative. This may include lone working
- Experience in customer services
- Possess good verbal / written communication skills as well as listen and communicate information effectively
- Respond constructively to unpredictable situations and be able to cope under pressure
- Good PC skills in order to undertake online based tasks and ability to train staff members on mandatory online based training
- Have awareness of basic H&S and Infection Control issues associated with the role
- Carry out tasks in a methodical manner
- Cleaning skills
- Follow instructions
- Organised work methods
- Carry out mandatory training, both online and face to face
- Have a professional approach
- Understand the importance of maintaining and observing confidentiality
- Be reliable/ responsible
- Learn and adapt

All Domestic Assistants are required to work throughout NHS Tayside at various sites/areas should there be a requirement to do so.
Hours 13.9
NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
