GP Associate Advisor Trainee Education & Exam Support

Hours: Part Time - 2 PAs (8 hours per week)

Duration:  Fixed term or Secondment* for 12 months

NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the National Health Board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.

Applications are invited from experienced General Practice educators to join the team delivering General Practice education and support within the West region of the Scotland Deanery. 

The key role of the postholder is to co-ordinate all Trainee education and Exam support activities in the region. It involves directly supporting Course Organisers in the delivery of day release activities. The postholder will also have to co-ordinate the implementation of regional and national teaching activities including Exam support for trainees.

The successful applicant will contribute to generic Associate Adviser duties such as ARCP panels, practice visit approvals and any other educational activity which aligns with the current national priorities.

The role involves attending local and national TPD meetings and supporting TPD colleagues in planning and delivery of trainee education activities.
