The shift pattern is minimum of 4 days, Mon-Fri.
Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic administrative assistant to aid in the smooth running of the Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy (POGP) Department at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. Your role will involve providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the POGP team. This includes, but is not exclusive to: managing self-referrals and appointing patients, managing electronic waiting lists and sending out opt-ins, managing a large volume of phone calls and dealing with regular patient queries. You will also be expected to monitor and order stationary stock, and order other departmental equipment as directed by the Lead Physiotherapist.
You will need to be an excellent communicator with proven interpersonal skills and the ability to put patients at ease as they come into the department and over the phone. You must be organised and methodical and have a good understanding of IT systems, such as Excel, Word and Trakcare. You must be able to work independently and adapt to a fast paced, changing environment.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
