Practice Nurse

Salary dependent on experience 

Due to retirement, Rothes Medical Practice in Glenrothes, Fife is seeking an Practice Nurse to complement our medical team. The Practice population is approximately 8800. The practice is based at Pitteuchar Health Centre which is a purpose built site within easy access of the  A92. 
We are committed to multidisciplinary team working and at present this comprises of four GP Partners, SCOTGEM GP, 3 ANPs, two Practice Nurses, a Practice Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and we are supported by a wider attached staff service which includes a Health Care Support Worker, Treatment Room Nurse, NHS Fife Mental Health Nurse, Health Visitor and District Nursing teams as well as support from NHS Fife Pharmacists, all of whom are supported by an excellent and experienced administration team.
The ideal candidate will be friendly and motivated with excellent communication skills. The role involves chronic disease management, autonomously running clinics for patients with COPD, Asthma, Diabetes, Hypertension, CVD, and to help promote healthy lifestyles to patients managing their health conditions. The role will also consist of Cervical Cytology.
Although previous experience of working in a Primary Care setting is desirable, it is not essential, and must be willing to complete the General Practice Nurse course, delivered by NES and supported by the practice.
