Locum Consultant Anaesthetist (6 months)
University Hospital Hairmyres is looking to recruit a locum consultant with an ITU interest. The appointee will take part in a dedicated ITU on call rota based on a 1 in 10 frequency.
The new appointee will join a department of 22 consultants undertaking 2.5 and/or 2 session days made up from the following subspecialties: ITU, general surgery, robotics, vascular, ECT, orthopaedics, CEPOD, urology, ophthalmology, ENT, gynaecology and pre-assessment. Any specialist interest could be accommodated.
The exact configuration of sessions will be determined following appointment when a job plan will be issued as part of the contract.
All Consultants are initially offered a minimum of 1 PA for SPA duties but this starting allocation may be increased if the appointee can begin work immediately with specific service improvement initiatives.
