We have an exciting and challenging opportunity to support the Service Delivery Centre Ops Lead and Business Support Manager in the effective and efficient operational management of the complex NHS Highland wide vaccination service.   


This is an exciting time to be part of something far reaching and critical to supporting the health needs of the Highland population.  


We are looking for a Senior Business Support Assistant that can work both at pace in complicated situations and work to tight deadlines managing time effectively and efficiently to meet competing demands. 


The postholder will support the Service Delivery Centre Ops Lead and NHS Highland Vaccination Programme Board in the implementation, operation and management of complex scheduling systems and support in the management of the National Vaccination Scheduling System (NVSS).

 

The post holder will support the Service Delivery Centre Ops Lead & Business Support Manager on the day-to-day management of the Service Delivery Centre Admin Support Team.  


The successful applicant should be fully competent in the use of Microsoft packages, including Teams and Excel and have excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively and efficiently whilst having the ability to remain calm under pressure in a busy and challenging environment.   Staff supervision and complaints handling experience with a proven ability to implement change to systems and processes is desirable.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
