NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the National Health Board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.

Applications are invited from experienced General Practice Educators to join the team delivering General Practice education and support within the Scotland Deanery. 

The Associate Adviser will be part of the team responsible for the delivery of GP education within NES. They will assist in the production of educational activities and resources suitable for multiprofessional learners at various stages in their career in General Practice. This includes participation in CPD Connect activities, Practice Based Small Group Learning (PBSGL) training and module development, GPST education and simulation-based learning events.

This post is for 1 session per week and the base location is negotiable, however the postholder would have a requirement to work on occasion from NES offices. You should be medically qualified with a background in Primary Care. You will have an understanding, and experience in modern CPD methods and resources, learning needs assessment and learning evaluation. Reporting to the Assistant Director of General Practice Education you should have excellent communication and organisational skills.
