The Women, Children & Families Division has responsibility for providing integrated services and managing waiting times within the Division, for Acute and Community Services across Tayside. The Division includes Child Health Services, Childhood Immunisations, Health Visiting, Family Nurse Partnership, School Nursing, Paediatric Complex Disabilities, Community Paediatrics, Acute Paediatrics, Community Child AHP, CAMHS, Neonatal Service, Maternity, Gynaecology and Assisted Conception Unit.
This post has been identified to work alongside the existing Band 6 Administrative Services Manager to provide leadership and direction for the Administrative staff across all locations within the Division, ensuring the provision of a high quality efficient support service. Portfolios will be discussed and agreed with the successful applicant on appointment.
The successful applicant should hold a Degree in Business Administration or management qualification and/or be able to demonstrate a proven track record in this field.
A high level of organisational and administrative skills and previous experience of managing large groups of staff is essential, together with the ability to lead and motivate all levels of staff to deliver goals and corporate objectives.
You should have excellent communication skills to develop and maintain strong communication links and relationships with all staff across the Division, in particular Senior Management, Senior Clinicians and Admin Team Leaders.
Your performance must comply with the national “Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers 2009” and with the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers.
Hours of duty: 37 per week worked over 5 days.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
