Applications are invited for a full time (10PA) Consultant Vascular Surgeon appointment to the East of Scotland Vascular Network (ESVN). 

The ESVN services a hub (NWH) and spoke (VHK/PRI/QMH/Stracathro) model, with the whole team taking responsibility for the Hub and groups of colleagues taking responsibility for their spokes (with cross cover from the whole team).  This post is to contribute to the NWH Hub on call service and to support scheduled activities across both sites (principally VHK). 

The appointee will be contracted to a standard NHS job plan, totaling 10 sessions. This will comprise of 9 PA’s and 1 SPA, consideration can be given to a 2nd SPA during the job planning process.

Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
