Information & Business Intelligence are looking for 2 skilled Senior Information Analysts to join our team providing tailored intelligence from health and social care datasets and reporting systems.

We are looking for analysts who can combine excellent technical skills with an ability to communicate, in an easy and engaging way, sometimes complex concepts with clinical and managerial staff.  You will be expected to present your analyses to individuals or groups informally as well as programme boards.

The Information & Business Intelligence Team is responsible for the provision, and maintenance, of business intelligence solutions across the organisation. The team is currently implementing a BI strategy to support clinicians and service users.  We are transitioning from Business Objects and Excel based reporting into a self-service dashboard model using Power BI.

Within BI Services we all work from home although some onsite meetings will be required to collaborate within the team and other Directorates on an ad hoc basis.

If you are an enthusiastic team player who has strong data analysis and presentation skills.  A strength in M365 tools, including Excel, along with excellent numeracy, planning and organisational skills is required.  It would be advantageous to have knowledge of NHS Patient Management Systems and experience within the NHS or a large complex organisation.  If you have these attributes, then we would love to hear from you.

Informal enquiries are welcome, please contact: meriel.carter@borders.scot.nhs.uk

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot accept late applications so please ensure your application is submitted early
