Applications are invited for the post of Information Support Officer to support the Imaging Manger, Clinical Radiology Department at Ninewells Hospital Dundee. 


We are looking for an experienced person to join the administrative team providing a high level administrative service to the Imaging Manager, Department of Clinical Radiology Ninewells Hospital along with Radiology admin tasks including medical rotas, IRMER administration and medical staff annual leave.  The successful applicant should possess an excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages (e.g. Word, Excel & familiar with Microsoft Teams), excellent minute taking skills and be able to optimise the use of these systems.   You will be highly organised with the ability to work to competing timescales and deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.  You will also work independently and as part of a team providing a comprehensive administrative service.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
