An opportunity has become available for a full time (37 hours a week) Qualified Social Work Post within Mental Health Services based at New Craigs Hospital to carry out complex case work with individuals with more complex and long-term mental health needs where a variety of services and agencies are involved and to ensure statutory responsibilities are met as delineated by legislation. This is a full time post as a Mental Health Social Worker in the Integrated Adult Community Mental Health Team in Inverness and surrounding areas
The case work focuses on mental health and associated statutory social work duties and is interesting and varied. Duties include statutory work, person centred outcome focused assessments and managing complex situations, risks and other issues.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Social Worker who is enthusiastic, person centred and outcome focused in their approach and who has experience or an interest in working within Mental Health Services. This post requires registration with the SSSC and a full drivers license.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
