DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY ROYAL INFIRMARY
Vacancy: 1 x Clinical Fellow Foundation Year 1 in Medicine, Surgery and Acute Specialties
Salary: FHO1 £31,082 to £34,964 plus appropriate banding
Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow at Foundation Year 1 (FY1 equivalent) post at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
The post is available to start until 5th August 2025. Successful candidates may rotate in medical, surgical and acute specialties. Applicants must have full GMC (UK) registration, sound academic knowledge, good communication skills and be an effective team player.
Successful applicants will join a team of FY1 doctors, receive high quality clinical and educational supervision and have opportunities to attend all foundation year teaching sessions. Certification of obtainment of FY1 competencies can be provided at the end of the year and progression to training programmes will be actively encouraged. This post would also be suitable for international medical graduates who want to pursue a career in the NHS, regardless of previous clinical experience. We have a track record of enabling trainee progression with more experienced candidates who have not previously worked in the UK finding the post a very rewarding introduction.
Salary will be at the appropriate point dependent on experience on the salary scale.
